About

Midea Air Appliances (LAN) is a custom integration that controls Midea air conditioners and dehumidifiers over the local network. It adds climate, humidifier, fan, sensor, binary sensor and switch entities to Home Assistant, and communication with the appliances stays on the local network. Setup happens in the UI, where the Midea app account and password are entered and the mobile app is chosen, after which appliances are discovered on the network. If an appliance is registered to the cloud account but not found, an IPv4 address can be entered by hand. Air conditioner support is switched on through the advanced settings page. It works with the V2 and V3 protocols, while older XML based models and newer Tuya based appliances are not supported.
