About

Midea Smart AC is a custom integration for local control of Midea air conditioners and related brands over the LAN. It adds climate control along with sensors, switches, selects, buttons, numbers and a fresh air fan, shown only when the device reports support for them. Extra controls include purifier mode, swing angles, breeze modes, self clean, auxiliary heat and a service for the follow me function. Sensors cover compressor values, indoor and outdoor coil temperatures, indoor humidity and energy use, with a selectable data format and scale for energy and power. Control works without internet, though newer V3 devices use the Midea cloud once during discovery to obtain a token and key. Devices can be discovered automatically or entered manually in the UI, and options include update interval, temperature step and capability overrides.
