Release notes for Vulpo for Home Assistant. The current version is 1.4, released October 15, 2026. Vulpo first shipped on the App Store in May 2026 for iPhone, iPad and Mac; version 1.2 added Apple Watch and 1.4 iPhone Duo. Each entry lists the release date and the main changes.

Vulpo 1.4: iPhone Duo, Intercom and More.
Vulpo 1.4 is made for iPhone Duo, adds Intercom for your Home Assistant speakers and synced lyrics, and redesigns the player, cameras and Lumen.
- Made for iPhone Duo: hold it like a book or stand it up in tabletop and a card's controls open on the other half while the dashboard stays in view; every detail has a layout for each pose, cards cast a soft reflection below the crease in tabletop, and Lumen, cameras, Energy, the player and the automation editor each use both halves
- Intercom (Pro): tap the orb, say what you need, and the message plays on the Home Assistant speakers you choose after a short chime, even away from home; speakers that support announcements lower the music and bring it back, live captions are made on the device and never stored, and a report shows which speakers received it, with Retry for the rest; needs a Home Assistant administrator account
- Synced lyrics (Pro): follow along line by line in the player, tap any line to play from there, and on iPad, Mac and the open iPhone Duo read them in a panel beside the artwork
- A player for every screen: full screen on iPad, Mac and the open iPhone Duo with the library or Up Next beside it, a landscape player on iPhone, controls tinted from the album art, Repeat, and a Now Playing bar that switches between players
- Music Assistant, the whole queue: play, reorder, remove, Play Next and Autoplay in Up Next, favorite the playing track, and add-on servers connect through Home Assistant so it works away from home; Sonos queues show in full, Move hands playback to another speaker, and every speaker in a group gets its own volume slider
- Lumen, redesigned (Pro): glass panels over the room, a side panel for the library, settings, links and photos, device controls from a tap on a label, and the whole app turning light or dark with the scene's time of day; rooms you have opened before return in under three seconds on a recent iPhone, and devices without ray tracing get real sun shadows
- Cameras, redesigned: one layout for every live camera, a camera column that switches cameras in place and shows the last 24 hours of motion, and Snapshot for every camera type
- Alerts you can act on (Pro): Fix, Ignore or Restart Home Assistant from a repair alert and Install or Skip This Version from an update alert, right on the Lock Screen, with Face ID before anything installs or restarts; critical repairs arrive as Time Sensitive and alerts clear themselves once resolved
- Made for iPad and Mac: a sidebar with dashboards, Tools, Settings, server status, News and System Health; Settings, glances, Add Card and the player open full screen; a grid size setting on iPad; Keep Running in Menu Bar and Open at Login on Mac
- Pins in the media library, a medium media card, low and normal battery sensors plus Matter and Z-Wave batteries in the Battery glance, and climate cards that follow what the thermostat is actually doing
- Ready for Home Assistant 2026.10: the connection no longer drops about once a minute, and devices sharing one Home Assistant no longer sign each other out
- Notifications that arrive while Vulpo is open stay in Notification Center, links open only when tapped, and messages sent while a device was offline still arrive
- Faster everywhere: multi-second launch hangs are gone, Spotlight indexes 2,000 entities in half a second instead of 34, Mac dashboards scroll at twice the frame rate, and playing music no longer keeps the Mac busy
Vulpo 1.3: Automations, iOS 27 and More.
Vulpo 1.3 brings Home Assistant automations into the app, drafts them from a sentence, and adopts iOS 27 across the Lock Screen, Siri and Spotlight.
- Automations, built in: create, edit, run, duplicate and delete Home Assistant automations as a canvas of cards you can pan and zoom, a step list, or a YAML editor, all over the same automation; nothing is written until you tap Save; needs a Home Assistant administrator account
- Describe it, Vulpo drafts it: type what should happen in English, German, French or Dutch and get a draft naming your own devices; Apple's on-device model drafts for free and offline, and on iOS 27 Private Cloud Compute and Vulpo Intelligence (Pro, 50 drafts a month) write whole automations and change existing ones
- Forms made for touch: every trigger, condition and action is a form built from Home Assistant's own definitions, with a haptic ruler for numbers, a sky-shaded time slider and color sliders in their real colors; one picker for entities, devices, areas, floors and labels
- Command bar and recipes: find any action, step or automation as you type, see what uses a device, and set up presence lights, open door or window, leak or smoke and temperature alerts in a few taps
- Watch it run: triggers and conditions light up live, and any of the last five runs replays step by step; blueprint inputs get a form, template fields get building blocks and a live preview
- Labels and categories: Vulpo Intelligence suggests them for your automations (Pro), managed in Settings
- Now Playing on the Lock Screen (iOS 27): every Home Assistant media player gets artwork, play, skip and volume on the Lock Screen and in Control Center, even with the app closed
- Siri knows your home: home reports for security, climate, energy and presence, "turn this off" on a device you are looking at, live entity cards, and Vulpo search from Siri and Spotlight
- Select and Clock cards (Classic, Digital and Flip faces), and Move to Dashboard in every card's menu
- Apple Watch relays commands through the iPhone when Home Assistant is out of reach; the Home Assistant Cloud address is offered as the remote address, and every feature follows the switch
- A new Fans glance, cleaner glances without hidden or diagnostic entities, live video for cameras without a stream, and a row of tips on the Home dashboard

Vulpo 1.2: Apple Watch, Whisker and More.
Vulpo 1.2 brings the full Vulpo experience to Apple Watch and reworks large parts of the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps.
- Vulpo on your wrist: Glances, favorites, scenes and pinned cards in swipeable pages you arrange from the iPhone; control lights, covers, climate, fans, locks, media, vacuums and alarms with surfaces built for the Digital Crown; scrub sensor history; put any entity on the watch face; works on its own over Wi-Fi or LTE
- Whisker (Vulpo Labs, Pro): point the watch at a lamp, switch, fan, blind, speaker or TV and double-tap to control it, with a targeting radar and undo; requires Apple Watch Series 9, Ultra 2 or newer
- Glances come alive: every glance detail opens on a living picture of the home (lights skyline, climate band, spinning records, motion radar, security ring), tap any part to filter
- Manage your areas: the new Areas screen in Settings creates, renames and deletes areas by floor, moves entities and whole devices, and sweeps unassigned entities into place
- Alarm Panel card (Vulpo Labs, Pro): animated state detail, glass keypad that never stores codes, alarm status in the Security glance, arming from the wrist
- Make it yours: eight appearance presets with card tint, grain and an intensity slider, synced across devices (colored presets are Pro); Dynamic Light Colors tints light icons with the bulb's real color
- Group widget: up to eight entities as live, tappable tiles on one widget
- Live Activities leveled up: buttons to adjust the thermostat and pause, resume or stop appliances; a new vacuum monitor with progress, battery and current room; per-monitor status and a built-in guide
- Build dashboards faster: adding a card jumps straight to the entity, Add Card search finds entities, collapsible sections, size picker on long press
- A steadier connection: drops are detected in about 20 seconds, reconnects retry on their own, and a second server address takes over when the first fails
- Energy: per-device costs derived from the grid tariff, hour by hour; calendar ranges (Today, This Week, This Month, This Year) on chart details and statistics cards
- Hold-to-open for locks with a latch; vacuum, mop or both per run; custom person photos uploaded to Home Assistant

Vulpo 1.1.5 introduces the Energy tab, a full media library browser and entity renaming that applies everywhere.
- Energy, live in 3D (Vulpo Labs, Pro): the Home Assistant Energy Dashboard as a 3D scene of your neighborhood with the sun's real path and live power flows; usage, sources, costs and a per-device heatmap; edit the energy setup in the app

Vulpo 1.1 adds HomePass setup sharing, four new cards, smarter Glances, entity detail sheets and Lumen multi-floor support.
- HomePass: export the whole setup as a backup file or hand it over in person with a scannable boarding pass; receiving works right from onboarding
