About
Google Geocode is a Marketplace integration that turns a device tracker's location into a readable address using the Google Geocode API. It adds a sensor that updates the address each time the tracker's location changes, and shows the zone name when the tracker is inside a zone. Which address fields appear can be chosen in the configuration, and their display order can be overridden, with the remaining enabled fields following in the default order. Misspelled field names or zone display values are logged as warnings and skipped, so the sensor keeps working. Polling can be paused by pointing the sensor at another entity, and while that entity is on, no geocoding requests are made and the last value is kept. It relies on Google's cloud and needs an API key from Google Maps Platform, and it is configured in the configuration file.
