About

Nest Protect is an integration that connects Google Nest Protect smoke and CO alarms to Home Assistant. It uses an undocumented Nest API through the vendor's cloud, because the core Nest integration does not support these devices. It adds smoke, heat and CO status, plus occupancy on wired devices, with values updated in real time. Diagnostic and configuration entities are also exposed, including self-test sensors, battery details, a night light brightness selector and switches such as Pathlight. Nest x Yale locks on the same account are supported with a lock entity and a battery sensor. Setup is done in the UI with a Google account, using either a Chrome extension code or manually copied token and cookie values.

Custom component for Home Assistant to interact with Nest Protect devices via an undocumented and unofficial Nest API. Unfortunately, Google SDM doesn't support Nest Protect devices and thus the core Nest integration won't work for Nest Protect.
This integration will add the most important sensors of your Nest Protect device (CO, heat and smoke) and the occupancy if your device is wired (to main power). In addition, it will expose several diagnostic and configuration entities. All sensor values will be updated real-time.
