About
Generic Camera is a built-in integration that adds cameras from a still image URL or a video stream address. It works locally and is set up in the UI. Settings cover a username, password and authentication method, plus a stream source such as an RTSP address and the RTSP transport protocol. A frame rate can be set, refetching can be limited to changes in the URL, and SSL certificate verification can be turned on or off. The options also include using the wallclock as timestamps, which may help with segmenting or crashing problems caused by faulty timestamps on some cameras. A reload action reloads generic cameras defined in YAML configuration, and a diagnostics file can be downloaded for bug reports.
