About

Presence Simulation is a Home Assistant integration that imitates someone being home while the house is empty. It reads the recorded state history of chosen entities and replays the same states from a set number of days earlier. It can switch lights, covers, media players, selects and other entities that can be turned on and off, and it also repeats light brightness and color when those attributes are stored in the recorder. Each simulation is a switch with its own entities, delta in days, refresh interval, an optional random delay for switching, and an option to restore states afterward. Further settings cover treating unavailable as off, light brightness, and an end date and time for the history used. It runs locally, is set up in the UI, and needs the recorder to keep more days of history than the delta.
