About
Proximity is a built-in Home Assistant integration that tracks how far devices or persons are from a chosen zone. It adds sensors for distance and direction of travel, plus sensors for the nearest tracked device, its distance and its direction of travel. Settings let the user pick which devices or persons to track, which zone to measure distance to, which zones to ignore, and a tolerance distance. The same settings can be changed later in the options. It works locally and is set up in the UI. A repair notice appears in Settings if a tracked entity has been removed, and a diagnostics file can be downloaded for bug reports.
