About

Daikin Modbus connects Home Assistant to the Daikin EKRHH home hub over Modbus TCP, covering heat pumps. It supports Altherma 3 and Air to Air units, and Altherma 4 support is experimental. It communicates locally and adds binary sensors, numbers, selects, sensors and switches. The README describes monitoring of heat pump status, temperatures and energy usage, plus climate control and energy tracking. Setup happens in the UI, asking for the hub address, port, Modbus address, polling interval, a sensor prefix, and whether an extra heating zone or an Air to Air pump is present. The hub must be set to a Modbus use case with TCP/IP for the integration to work.
