About
Button Builder is a visual designer for button-card styles in Home Assistant, with optional AI generation. It adds a single sidebar panel where buttons are designed with a live preview, with separate ON and OFF appearances, and the result is exported as YAML for the custom button card. Existing card YAML can be pasted in and edited visually. Designs can come from Home Assistant AI Tasks or a Gemini API key, which turn a plain-language description into a button. A shared library stores designs with folders and tags and syncs them across browsers, and themes and style presets can be saved. It works locally and is set up in the UI, and the custom button card must be installed separately.
