About

HAIR is an infrared device admin panel that turns learned IR remote signals into Home Assistant devices. A sniffer tab listens through IR receivers, groups signals by the remote they came from, and lets each signal be tested through an emitter and assigned to a device. The resulting devices expose buttons, climate, covers, fans, lights, media players, remotes and switches, and a last-pressed event. Device triggers for pressed and state heard let the devices start automations directly. Options set the capture timeout and the default repeat count for transmitted commands. It works locally without a vendor cloud and is added through the UI after installing from the Marketplace.

From the README

HAIR turns IR remotes into native Home Assistant entities. Point any remote at an IR receiver and press a button, and HAIR gives you back a device, a button, and an event you can automate. No vendor cloud, no YAML, nothing learned into somebody else's box.
