About
Sony Songpal is a built-in integration that connects Sony audio devices to Home Assistant as media players. It communicates with the device locally over the network rather than through a cloud service. Home Assistant can spot compatible devices on the network by itself and offer to add them. Setup is done in the user interface, and the integration ships with Home Assistant, so nothing extra needs to be installed. Besides the media player controls, it provides an action for changing a sound setting on the device.
