About
Android TV Remote is a built-in integration that controls Android TV devices from Home Assistant over the local network. It adds a media player and a remote for each device. Devices on the network are found automatically and offered for adding, and setup is done in the UI with the device address and a pairing code shown on the TV. An options step lets a list of applications be defined, with a display name, an application ID and an icon image address for each one. An option for the on-screen keyboard interface enables reading the current app name and sending text as keyboard input, and it can be turned off for devices that do not support it. Connection settings can be changed later without removing the device, and a diagnostics file can be downloaded for bug reports.
