About

Android Debug Bridge is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to Android TV and Fire TV devices over ADB. It works locally and adds media player and remote entities for each device. Setup happens in the UI, where the device type, host and port are entered, with optional fields for an ADB server and a key file. Options cover a list of apps with custom names, whether to list running apps as sources, and custom shell commands for turning the device on and off. Screen capture for album art can run at a set interval, and state detection rules can be defined per app. Actions send ADB commands, upload and download files between Home Assistant and the device, and translate a remote key press into sendevent commands.
