About
Plex Media Server is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a Plex server over the local network. It provides media players, sensors, a button for scanning clients, and an update entity for the server. An action refreshes a Plex library so it scans for new and updated media. Options let the user ignore new managed or shared users, ignore Plex web clients, choose which users are monitored, and use episode art. Home Assistant can discover the server on the network and offer to add it, and setup is done in the UI with host, port, SSL and optional token fields.
