About

Plex Meets Home Assistant is a dashboard card that browses a Plex library and starts movies or TV shows on a chosen device. It works with Plex clients in general, and it also supports Kodi through PlexKodiConnect, Android TV, VLC via Telnet, Sonos and Google Cast. Target devices are entities from the Android TV, Kodi and Google Cast integrations, plus other Plex players that can be cast to through the Plex web interface. Players without entities are detected only while the Plex app is running, and remote setups need an identifier and server set in the card code. The card can be configured through a visual editor that loads libraries and entities, or by hand in code. It hosts no content and provides no Plex server, and it is installed through HACS.
