About

card-mod is a dashboard card add-on that applies CSS styles to elements of the Home Assistant frontend. It lets custom styling reach almost any Lovelace card, and it can also style other parts of the interface. It can be used in themes, including to style the sidebar on panels that are not Lovelace dashboards. It installs through the Marketplace, or through HACS on 2026.10 and older. It can be loaded as a dashboard resource or as a frontend module, and the module route speeds up applying styles, especially with card-mod themes. The dashboard resource is needed for the styling to work on CAST devices.
