About
SMA Solar is a built-in Home Assistant integration that connects to SMA solar devices over the local network. It adds sensors for the connected SMA device. Setup happens in the UI, and Home Assistant can detect the device on the network and offer to add it. The form asks for the device group, host name or IP address, and password. It also has options for using an SSL certificate, which newer SMA devices require and older ones do not support, and for verifying that certificate, which can be disabled for self-signed certificates. A diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
