About
SamsungTV Smart is an integration that controls Samsung TVs from Home Assistant, with SmartThings API support. It is a modified version of the built-in Samsung TV integration with extra features, and it targets 2016 and newer models, likely the Tizen family. It adds media player and remote entities, along with services for sending single or chained key commands, extended volume control, and casting video URLs to the TV. Connecting to the SmartThings cloud adds channel names, the selected HDMI source, more key codes for changing input, and logos for channels and apps. Options cover the source, app and channel lists, power-on method, and other TVs or entities that power on and off together with the TV. Setup is done in the UI with the TV address, a name, and an optional SmartThings token.
