About

Emporia EV Charger is a HACS integration that brings an Emporia Level 2 EV charger into Home Assistant. It adds a switch to start and stop charging and a number control for the charge rate in amps, with the minimum and maximum read from the charger. Sensors report power, energy and status, a binary sensor shows whether a vehicle is plugged in, and a vehicle battery sensor appears when a vehicle is linked in the Emporia app. Every charger on the account is discovered after one login and shows up as its own device. Sign-in works with email and password, or through Google or Apple in the browser. The integration is cloud-only because the charger has no local API, so it needs an internet connection. Options cover adaptive polling that speeds up while charging, idle and charging poll intervals, and a default charge rate.
