About
Kumo is an integration that connects Home Assistant to Mitsubishi mini-split units through KumoCloud WiFi interfaces. It adds climate entities that read and set the mode, setpoint, fan speed and vane swing, plus sensors such as outdoor temperature for Kumo Station and Wi-Fi signal strength per unit. Control can run locally, with the cloud account needed only for initial setup, and an option to prefer the local cache is offered. Options cover connection timeout, response timeout, poll interval, post-command refresh delay, and a unit label with an IP address for each unit. The README notes that recent Mitsubishi changes prevent retrieving local-control credentials in the US, so new users or newly added indoor units may not get local control. Setup is done in the UI with the KumoCloud email and password.
