About

Home Connect Local connects Bosch and Siemens appliances that use the Home Connect standard to Home Assistant over the local network. Communication goes directly to the appliance, so it works locally instead of through a cloud service. It adds entities across binary sensors, buttons, fans, lights, numbers, selects, sensors and switches, covering things like door state, program progress, remaining time, lighting and power controls. Two actions are included, one to start the selected program and one to set the start delay. Setup happens in the UI by uploading an appliance profile file downloaded from the Home Connect account, with a manual host or IP address entry if the first connection fails. A diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to bug reports.
