About

Home Connect is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to Home Connect household appliances through the vendor's cloud. It adds binary sensors, buttons, climate, fans, lights, numbers, selects, sensors and switches, so appliance states, settings and programs can be read and controlled. Buttons can pause, resume or stop a running program, and some can open a door. Actions can change a setting, start or select a program with options, and start an already selected program. Sign-in goes through the vendor's own page using application credentials, and setup is done in the UI. New devices are added without further setup, devices that are gone are removed, and a repair notice flags a deprecated alarm clock entity used in automations or scripts.
