About

APC UPS Modbus is an integration that monitors APC Smart-UPS devices over Modbus/TCP with optional SNMP data. It runs locally and standalone, so it does not need NUT or APCUPSD, and it is set up in the UI. It adds sensors for input and output voltage, current and frequency, battery charge and runtime, load percentage, temperature, firmware and fault status bits. Energy counters are exposed in kWh for the Energy Dashboard and keep continuity across hardware resets and rollovers. Device profiles include Legacy Smart-UPS, SMT/SMX/SRT, SmartConnect and NetShelter Rack PDU, and they are detected from read-only Modbus probes. Experimental write controls exist through Modbus and SNMP, but they are disabled by default and used at the user's own risk.

A Home Assistant custom integration for APC UPS and Rack PDU monitoring over Modbus/TCP, with optional SNMP v2c enrichment.
Release 2.1.2: This release exposes experimental write controls through both MODBUS and SNMP depending on the device profile. All write commands are disabled by default. A user can enable these options in their own right and at their own risk. If you test this capability, please report the exact model and firmware whether there are issues or not; test only noncritical loads.
