About
Denon HEOS is a built-in integration that controls HEOS-capable Denon audio products as media players over the local network. Home Assistant can discover the products on the network and offer to add them, and it is set up in the UI by entering the host name or IP address of one HEOS device. The docs recommend choosing a device connected to the network by wire. Optionally, the username and password of a HEOS account can be entered, and actions are available to sign in to and out of that account. Extra actions cover group volume, including turning it up, turning it down, and setting it while keeping the member volume ratios, plus reading the play queue, moving queue items and removing items from it. New devices are added automatically, and devices that are gone are removed.
