About

FRITZ!Box Tools is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a FRITZ!Box router over the local network. It adds binary sensors, buttons, device presence tracking, images, sensors, switches and update entities. Sensors cover connection uptime, CPU temperature, external addresses, data transferred, and link throughput and attenuation, while switches handle internet access, guest Wi-Fi and the main Wi-Fi bands. Buttons can reconnect the router, send Wake on LAN packets, and clean up devices or start a firmware update, though the last two are marked deprecated. Actions let the router dial a phone number or set a new guest Wi-Fi password. Home Assistant can discover the router on the network, and it is set up in the UI with host, credentials and optional SSL. An option sets how many seconds a device counts as at home, with a default of 180.
