About
Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) is a built-in integration that connects network printers to Home Assistant locally. It adds sensors for printer activity, including impressions completed, color and monochrome impressions, media sheets, pages completed and uptime. Home Assistant can detect a compatible printer on the network and offer to add it. Setup is done in the UI, where the printer's host, port and path are entered, along with options for using and verifying an SSL certificate. A diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
