About

Synology DSM is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a Synology NAS over the local network. It adds sensors for CPU load and utilization, device size, status and temperature, plus binary sensors for security status and drive health warnings. Camera entities, a fan speed mode select, a home mode switch and a shut down button are also provided, along with an update entity for DSM. Options cover the shared folder and path used for automatic Home Assistant backups, and the quality level of camera snapshots. Home Assistant can discover the NAS on the network, and setup is done in the UI with host, port, credentials and SSL settings.
