About
EnergyCalc is a custom integration that adds energy sensors in kWh to devices that only report power in watts. It scans the entity registry for power sensors with no matching energy sensor and offers to create one for each, linked to the existing device. The generated sensors integrate power over time, which makes power-only devices usable in the Energy Dashboard. Each sensor has settings for the integration method, unit, decimal precision and a maximum sub-interval before the last known value is integrated again. A reset button is included, and actions exist to create and remove energy sensors. It works locally and is configured in the UI, with optional automatic discovery enabled through a configuration entry and an exclusion list for chosen power entities.

Add an energy sensor
- Power sensorThe power sensor to integrate. It must report watts.
- Integration methodThe Riemann sum method used to approximate the integral.
- UnitThe unit of the energy sensor.
- PrecisionNumber of decimal places to round the result to.
- Max sub-intervalHow long to wait for a source update before integrating the last known value again.

From the README
EnergyCalc is a Home Assistant custom component that automatically discovers devices with power sensors (W) but missing total energy sensors (kWh) and offers to create energy tracking entities. This is useful for integrating power-only devices with Home Assistant's Energy Dashboard.
