About

SAJ R5 Inverter Modbus reads data locally from SAJ R5 inverters, including Zonneplan One, over Modbus. It also supports Sununo and Suntrio inverters, and works without a cloud-connected dongle. The connection can be Modbus TCP, for example through a Modbus-to-WiFi bridge, or a serial RS485 port with a USB adapter. It adds sensors for the Modbus registers, plus switches and numbers for turning the inverter on or off and limiting its power output. All realtime registers are read in a single cycle, and the polling interval can be changed. An action sets the date and time on the inverter, and setup and reconfiguration happen in the UI.

This is an unofficial Home Assistant integration that enables you to read data locally from SAJ R5, Sununo, and Suntrio inverters via Modbus TCP or a directly connected serial (RS485 RTU) port, without a cloud-connected dongle.
The integration is also compatible with Zonneplan ONE inverters, which are rebranded SAJ R5 inverters.
Easy Installation: Set up (and reconfigure) the integration through the Home Assistant UI.
Network or Serial: Connect over Modbus TCP (e.g. via a Modbus-to-WiFi bridge) or directly over a serial RS485 port (e.g. a USB-to-RS485 adapter, locally or through an ESPHome serial proxy).
Detailed Sensors: Each Modbus register is exposed as a separate sensor.
Automatic Scaling: The integration automatically applies the correct scaling factor to the raw data.
Configurable Polling: You can set your desired polling interval for data updates.
Data Consistency: All realtime Modbus registers are read in a single cycle to ensure data consistency across all sensors.
