About

Load Shedding is a Home Assistant integration that tracks load shedding schedules for chosen areas. It adds calendar and sensor entities, and the main sensor reports the current load shedding stage, or shows that load shedding is suspended. Data comes from the Eskom SePush cloud API, so an API key or token is required, and the free key has a daily request limit. Areas are found by searching by province and provider, and the options let areas be added or removed, set a minimum event duration, and switch multi-stage events on or off. Repair notices appear in Settings when stored area IDs need updating after the SePush v3 change, or when the API is unreachable or temporarily unavailable. It is set up in the UI and installed through the Marketplace or HACS.
