Outdoor Environment

About

Outdoor Environment is an integration that provides outdoor air quality, UV, weather, pollen and solar sensors from Open-Meteo. It uses two Open-Meteo APIs that need no API key or registration, so it relies on that cloud service for data. Sensors are split into groups for air quality, pollen, UV, weather and solar radiation, and each group can be switched on or off later in the options. Derived values include a reading comfort score from 0 to 100 based on apparent temperature, and optional daily maximum European and US air quality indexes for today and tomorrow. A binary sensor reports whether irrigation is needed, turning on when forecast evapotranspiration exceeds forecast rainfall by a configurable threshold. Setup runs in the UI, with an optional step for solar panel tilt and azimuth.
