About
Monta is a Marketplace integration that connects Home Assistant to the Monta cloud service for charge point data. It adds binary sensors, sensors and switches, and the sensors cover items such as state, last charge, last charge cost, meter reading and charge energy. Two actions start and stop charging on a selected charger. Meter Reading is derived from the charge in progress, so it can feed the Energy dashboard while a car is charging, whereas Last Meter Reading only updates after the cable is unplugged. Separate scan intervals can be set for charge points, wallet and transactions, with a note that Monta limits requests per minute. Setup happens in the UI with a Monta API client ID and secret.
