About
Prometheus Sensor runs PromQL queries against Prometheus-compatible APIs and exposes the results in Home Assistant. It works with Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics and Mimir, and it talks to the server locally. Each query becomes one entity, either a sensor or a binary sensor. The binary sensor casts the query value, or the result of an optional template, to a boolean, so it is off for 0 and on for any other value. An optional mapping of extra HTTP headers is sent with every request, which can carry authentication headers or select a tenant in Grafana Mimir. It is configured in YAML as a platform, which can be defined several times with different settings.
