About

SolsticeHub is an integration that provides sun-based calendars as sensors in Home Assistant. It covers astronomical or meteorological seasons, the Celtic Wheel of the Year, and Chinese solar terms, with timestamps and countdowns to the next change. Every device also carries sensors for daylight trend, the next trend change and a solar longitude diagnostic that is disabled by default. All calculation is done locally with PyEphem, so no internet connection is needed. Setup runs in the UI, where a device type is chosen first, followed by options such as hemisphere, calculation mode, scope and naming style. Chinese terms and Celtic periods can be shown in system language, pinyin or hanzi, while the underlying state stays an English key.

A Home Assistant integration for sun-based calendar systems: precise astronomical seasons, the Celtic Wheel of the Year, and the Chinese solar terms — with exact timestamps, countdowns and daylight-trend tracking.

Upgrading from "Solstice Season" (v1.x)? SolsticeHub is the renamed successor. The domain changed, so a manual migration is required — see
