About
evcc ☀️🚘 Solar Charging connects Home Assistant to a local evcc server for EV charging with solar power. It adds binary sensors, buttons, numbers, selects, sensors and switches covering loadpoints, vehicles, charging plans and home battery settings. Actions set or delete departure plans for a loadpoint or a vehicle, and enable or disable a loadpoint. Options include a WebSocket connection for live updates or a polling interval, and an optional admin password for advanced features such as restarting the evcc server. Extended vehicle data and meter data can also be collected from the evcc configuration, with a warning that vehicle polling may query the vehicle directly. It is set up in the UI, and the author states it is not supported by the evcc developers.

Setting it up
Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.
Connect
- Your local evcc-Server URL (including the port)
- Admin Password for the evcc-Server (optional)Providing your evcc admin password is optional and only necessary for advanced integration features. If you are unsure, leave the field empty! You can add the password anytime later if you decide you want to use the advanced features (e.g., restarting the evcc-server from HA). When you want to delete your current password, please enter a SPACE!
- Use WebSocket connectionThe WebSocket connection ensures that the sensor data will be updated more or less instantly as soon as it's changing in evcc. When enabled the polling interval (below) will be ignored.
- Polling Interval in seconds [min: 5sec]When you use the WebSocket connection then the polling interval has no functionality.
- Include the prefix '[evcc]' in all sensor 'friendly names'
- Collect extended Vehicle data from evcc configurationAccess to the evcc configuration API required (specified admin password). When enabled, the integration will also collect additional vehicle data such as State of Charge, Range, Odometer readings or SOC for each configured vehicle. By default (without having this option activated) this meta data is only available in this integration for vehicles connected to a evcc loadpoint. Warning: Retrieving extended vehicle data _may_ result in evcc fetching data directly from your vehicle during every update interval. Depending on your vehicle manufacturer's API design [like the _Hyundai Bluelink (EU)_], this could lead to the depletion of the 12V battery system or can result in additional costs, if the vehicle API has a rate limit (like Testa). So use with care!
- Extended Vehicle Data Polling Interval in seconds [check Warning]When you have enabled the option '_Collect extended Vehicle data from evcc configuration_' then you can specify the polling interval in seconds which will be usd to request the extended vehicle data from the evcc configuration (please check the additional Warning above). The default value is 3600 seconds (1 hour).
- Collect Meter data from evcc configurationAccess to the evcc configuration API required (specified admin password). When enabled, the integration will also collect additional meter data such as Power, Energy, Phase Currents, Phase Voltages, SOC/temperatures for each configured meter.
- Meter Data Polling Interval in secondsWhen you have enabled the option '_Collect Meter data from evcc configuration_' then you can specify the polling interval in seconds which will be used to request the additional meter data from evcc. The default value is 3600 seconds (1 hour).
- Remove and recreate all DevicesThis may be necessary if you have orphaned device entries in your HA. This setting (checkbox) will be reset automatically.

From the README
I was surprised that it looks like that there does not exist a simple Home Assistant integration for the very popular evcc. So before my first EV spawned at my driveway, I wanted to contribute a very simple and basic integration that allows you to control evcc objects simply via the default HA gui and use sensors and switches in your automations.
Please note, that this Home Assistant integration is not official and not supported by the evcc developers. I am not affiliated with evcc in any way. This integration is based on the evcc API and the evcc API documentation.
