About

EPEX Spot is a Home Assistant integration that brings EPEX Spot electricity market prices into Home Assistant as sensors. Because the exchange does not offer free data access, it retrieves prices from a selectable source such as Awattar, SMARD.de, Tibber, ENTSO-E or Energy-Charts, and some of these need an API token. Sensors report the total price and the market price, plus daily average, median, lowest and highest prices, the current price quantile and its rank within the day. The total price adds a percentage surcharge, an absolute surcharge and tax to the market price, and these values can be adjusted in the configuration, along with the slot duration. Actions return the time interval with the lowest or highest price and can fetch fresh data on demand. It relies on the vendor's cloud and is configured through the UI.
