About
Fenecon FEMS & OpenEMS is an integration that connects Home Assistant to Fenecon FEMS and OpenEMS energy systems. It talks to the system locally and is set up in the UI with the host, a username and password, and a connection type, with a custom websocket URL available for non-standard setups. Backend components appear as service devices and their channels as entities, covering sensors, switches, numbers, selects, times and updates, with read and write access. It can find and install FEMS updates, and it supports single and multi-edge systems. Pre-configured dashboard cards cover storage, EV charging, grid optimized charging, emergency capacity reserve, heating element and heat pump apps, plus a battery diagnosis dashboard with derived voltage difference values. An action changes OpenEMS component properties, and REST write actions send values for sensor channels back to the backend, though those values are not shown in Home Assistant.
