About

Kodi Media Sensors is an integration that feeds Kodi data into sensors for use by custom dashboard cards. It builds on an existing Kodi media player entity, so Kodi has to be configured in Home Assistant first. Setup happens in the UI, where a name and the Kodi media player are chosen. The options let the search results be limited per media type, such as songs, albums, movies, episodes and channels. Recently added lists can also be capped per type, and watched movies can be left out of them. Playlist control is exposed through WebSocket commands rather than standard services, covering actions such as playing an item, adding or removing entries and reordering the queue. It works locally and needs the Marketplace to install.
