About
Hydro-Québec is an integration that tracks electricity use, billing and peak periods for a Hydro-Québec account. It connects through the vendor's cloud, either by signing in with an account or in a public data mode that needs no login and covers peak alerts only. With an account, it adds sensors for balance, billing period, projected bill, consumption averages and current rate, plus binary sensors for critical peak periods, pre-heating and portal status. Hourly consumption history can be imported for the Energy dashboard, with a choice of how many days to bring in. For the peak-based rates, a dedicated calendar stores peak events, and a service can create a critical peak event by hand. A pre-heat duration and the data update interval can be adjusted, and several contracts can be managed, such as a home and a cottage. It is set up in the UI and is developed independently of Hydro-Québec.
