About
SmartEVSE-3 is an integration that connects a SmartEVSEv3 charger to Home Assistant through a custom component. It communicates locally with the device, so no cloud connection is part of the setup. The integration adds number, select, sensor and switch entities for working with the device. Home Assistant can find the device on the network by itself and offer to add it. Setup is done in the UI, where the serial number and the IP address are entered. It is installed through the Marketplace, which is HACS on version 2026.10 and older.
