About

TechnitiumDNS is a custom integration that connects a Technitium DNS server to Home Assistant and reports DNS statistics. It adds sensors for total and blocked queries, clients, top clients and domains, response result totals, zone counts, cached entries and whether an update is available. It also provides switches, with the ad-blocking switch needing modify permission on the API user, plus buttons and presence tracking. Options cover DHCP device tracking with an IP filter, DNS log tracking, activity analysis and the statistics update interval. Setup asks for the server URL, an API token, a display name and a statistics time window, with choices for SSL checking and cluster aggregate statistics. It works locally and is set up in the interface.
