About
Whois is a built-in Home Assistant integration that reports domain registration details for a domain name. It adds sensors for the administrator, creation date, days until expiration, expiration date, last update, owner, registrant, registrar, reseller and status. The days until expiration sensor makes it possible to track when a domain needs renewal. Lookups depend on the vendor's cloud, so a connection to it is required. Setup happens in the UI by entering the domain name, and nothing extra needs installing since it ships with Home Assistant. A diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
