About

NINA and DWD Warnings Card is a dashboard card that shows NINA and DWD warnings in one place. It combines warnings from several NINA binary sensors and DWD sensors into a single card, covering both current and advance warnings. Duplicates are handled by keeping the original DWD alert over NINA rebroadcasts and merging identical warnings with different time ranges into one entry. Warnings are sorted by severity, headlines are color-coded by level, and DWD warnings get icons matching the type, such as frost, wind or snow. Warnings that have ended are hidden right away, and a message appears when nothing is active. Optional AI translation of warning text uses a configured AI Task entity, and the editor is available in English and German.

A custom Lovelace card for Home Assistant to display warnings from NINA (Notfall-Informations- und Nachrichten-App) and DWD (Deutscher Wetterdienst) sensors.
Displays current and advance warnings from NINA and DWD integrations.
Consolidates warnings from multiple NINA binary sensors and DWD sensors into a single card.
Context-aware icons: DWD warnings display specific icons based on warning type (frost, thunderstorm, wind, rain, snow, etc.).
Color-coded headlines based on warning severity/level.
Intelligently deduplicates warnings:
Prioritizes the original DWD alert over NINA rebroadcasts.
Merges identical warnings (same headline, description, instruction) with different time ranges into a single entry with the earliest start and latest end time.
Automatically sorts warnings by severity, displaying the most critical alerts first.
Formats warning start and end times for readability, with the date spelled out for warnings outside the current week.
Hides warnings that have already ended, without waiting for the next integration poll.
Shows a "No Warnings" message when no active warnings are present.
Displays sender information and a direct link to the official warning page on BUND.DE for NINA warnings.
