About

Duck DNS is an app that keeps a DuckDNS subdomain pointed at the home's public address and can issue Let's Encrypt certificates. It updates the registered subdomains with the detected IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, and either address can be set manually instead. The IPv4 option can also take a URL whose contents are fetched and used as the address. For certificates, it supports wildcard domains and aliases, which lets a custom domain with a CNAME record to the DuckDNS subdomain be covered. The public key algorithm can be chosen from rsa, prime256v1 and secp384r1, and the certificate and key files are stored in the SSL folder. It needs Home Assistant OS, runs on aarch64 and amd64, and is configured with a DuckDNS token and domain names.

  • Let's EncryptConfigure Let's Encrypt options
  • SecondsThe number of seconds to wait before updating DuckDNS subdomains and renewing Let's Encrypt certificates.
  • IPv4By default, DuckDNS will auto detect your IPv4 address and use that. This option allows you to override the auto-detection and specify an IPv4 address manually. The value 'none' disables IPv4 updates.
  • IPv6DuckDNS currently cannot auto-detect your IPv6 address. This option allows to specify either 'default' or an interface name to use an IPv6 address of the host, alternatively you can input an address manually.
