About

Reolink Discovery broadcasts a request on the local network so Reolink devices identify themselves to Home Assistant. Each device that replies is relayed into Home Assistant as a local event, which other components can listen for without a hard coded reference or library. It does not manage or add the discovered devices itself, leaving that to separate components. By default it sends a UDP request on port 2000 and waits for a reply on port 3000, repeating about every 30 seconds. Two options can be changed: how often the network is polled, and a broadcast address for setups where Home Assistant does not see the real local network, such as a container. It works locally and is configured in the UI.

This "helper" component will implement the ReoLink Device discovery protocol, broadcasting to the local network a request for reolink devices to identify themselves. For every device that replies, the information is relayed into Home Assistant via a local event.
This component is HACS compatible and only has a dependency on the existance of the network component (should be in a standard setup)
