About

Audiobookshelf adds sensors for an Audiobookshelf server to Home Assistant, showing connection state and active sessions. It reads server-wide data locally, including users, users online, open sessions, libraries, size, items and duration, with extra sensors for each library found. Recent sessions counts sessions the server updated in the last two minutes, which is the closest the API gets to currently playing. An optional setting checks GitHub hourly for new server releases and adds an update entity, and it is off by default because it is the only request that leaves the network. A Remove My Progress action clears listening progress for books whose series name matches the given text, and it cannot be undone. Setup is done in the UI with the server address and an admin API key, and only one server can be configured.
