About

Imou Life is a custom integration for controlling Imou devices registered with the Imou Life app. It talks to the vendor's cloud API, using an app ID and app secret from an Imou developer account, and is configured through the UI. It adds binary sensors, buttons, cameras, selects, sensors, sirens and switches, so motion detection, the siren and other switches can be used from the frontend or in automations. It also covers image snapshots, video streaming, PTZ controls, push notifications and dormant devices. Options cover the polling interval, API timeout, callback URL, and waits before snapshots and after waking a dormant device. This is an unofficial integration, and development has stopped, so newer device models may not work fully.

From the README

PLEASE NOTE this is an UNOFFICIAL integration, NOT supported or validated by Imou or linked in any way to Imou.

This integration is the result of the analysis of the public documentation released by Imou for its open platform and created before the vendor published its own official Home Assistant integration. Since this integration is based on information no more updated since 2021 it may not fully work with most recent devices and there is no way to support newer models since the documentation of the the APIs has not been made public by the vendor.
