About

FanSync is a Marketplace integration that controls Fanimation FanSync ceiling fans and their lights through the vendor's cloud. It adds fan, light and switch entities, with on/off, speed, direction and preset modes for fans, plus brightness and color temperature on tunable-white lights. A Home Away switch mirrors the Fanimation app's mode on fans that report it, and a Light installed switch removes a non-functional light entity on fans without a light kit. State changes arrive by cloud push, with a configurable fallback poll that can be turned off. Options also cover HTTP and WebSocket timeouts and a per-fan choice to hide the light of fans that have none. Setup happens in the UI with the email and password of a Fanimation FanSync account, and the integration prompts for a new password if the credentials expire.

From the README

Custom Home Assistant integration for Fanimation FanSync devices with cloud push updates, automatic reauthentication, and multi-language support.

🏆 Quality: Bronze & Silver tier compliant 🌍 Languages: English, French (Français), Spanish (Español) 🔄 Updates: Real-time cloud push with fallback polling

  • Fan: On/off, speed, direction, preset modes (normal, fresh_air). Direction is hidden on fans the app marks as not reversible.
  • Light: On/off, brightness, and color temperature on tunable-white fixtures (fixed-temperature lights stay brightness-only).
  • Home Away switch: the Fanimation app's Home Away mode, on fans that report it. Turning it on stops the fan; turning the fan on again ends the mode.
  • Light installed switch on each fan's device page: turn it off on a fan with no light kit to remove its phantom Light entity.
  • Real-time Updates: Cloud push updates for instant state synchronization
  • Fallback Polling: Configurable polling when push unavailable (default: 60s)
