About

Home Theater Direct is an integration for HTD MC/MCA-66 and Lync whole house audio controllers. It talks to the controller locally, over a network connection or a serial USB link, and Home Assistant can discover it on the network. Each zone gets a media player with power, volume, mute and source selection, plus bass and treble sliders and a balance slider that is hidden by default. Lync units also get a Do Not Disturb switch per zone, which controls party mode and all-zones-on exclusion. Zone and source names are read from the controller and can be overridden, unused zones can be hidden, and the selectable sources can be limited per zone. A source ID attribute keeps a fixed source position so automations still match after a source is renamed, and an option can show the last known zone state while the amplifier is off.

  • Restore last known state when the device is offlineShow each zone's last known state instead of Unavailable while the amplifier is off. Home Assistant will mark these entities as assumed state, because a zone changed at the keypad while Home Assistant was down will read incorrectly until the amplifier reconnects.
